This story is about an egotistical and talented neurosurgeon from New York City’s Greenwich Village. Doctor Stephen Strange loses the use of his hands after a catastrophic car accident, he immediately sets his mind on finding a cure. Normal medicine isn’t working. When Dr.Strange thinks he’s run out of options, he comes across an odd place called Kamar-Taj. This healing center is more than meets the eye. Kamar-Taj is a place where people learn to use metaphysical abilities and to protect unique artifacts.

It doesn’t take Doctor Strange very long to pick up on these magical abilities and master the martial arts. With his functional hands and new abilities, Dr. Strange must decide if he should return to the life he left behind or use his new abilities to fight a dark evil that is plaguing the world. The special effects in the Dr. Strange movie are very impressive. The warping is brilliant and perplexing. And the cast is amazing.

Thomas A. Anderson is leading a double life in this movie similar to Doctor Strange. During the day he’s a common computer programmer and in his spare time, he’s a notorious hacker called Neo. When Neo meets Morpheus, a legendary hacker, he is suddenly targeted by the police in this movie called The Matrix.

Morpheus becomes a mentor to Neo and shows gives him a real view of the world. A race of machines is taking over humans and imprisoning their minds in a place called the Matrix. Neo must enter the matrix with his new hacker friends to defeat the powerful machines that are threatening to overtake humanity. This exciting and enigmatic story makes you wonder about your own existence.

The Butterfly Effect


Starring: Ashton Kutcher, Amy Smart, and Melora Walters

Evan Treborn is a boy who suffers from horrible blackouts. These blackouts cause him to wake up somewhere else and leave him confused. His single mother and friends don’t believe him so he starts keeping a journal of these events. When Evan gets to college he finds the journals and decides to look into his past by reading his entries. This causes flashbacks that cause tremendous repercussions on his life.

The Butterfly Effect must be added to trippy, roller coaster, mind boggling movies like Dr. Strange. If one small event is changed in the past it can alter the future in a horrible way.

Corporate espionage is the perfect place for Dom to work. Great powers come with consequences and weaknesses. Dom has paid the high price and now must seek retribution before its too late, in this brain-teasing alternative to Dr. Strange.

Primer is one of the most confusing and satisfying movies like Dr. Strange. You’ll want to pause and rewind just to keep up with the storyline, but Primer’s genius story will blow you away.

The main plot of this story is about two engineers, Robert and Phillip, who spend all their free time creating a contraption that turns out to be a time machine. The more they test their creation, the more dark consequences they encounter. Primer is time travel movie must be added to Dr. Strange alternatives.

David is a science nerd who wants to go to M.I.T. When David and his friends come across blueprints for a ”temporal displacement device” they can’t wait to start working on the project. During their tinkering, they discover that this device lets them manipulate time and space.

Testing the theory,  they start with small steps such as going back in time to buy lottery tickets. At time goes on the group of teens realize that time travel is dangerous and has untold consequences.
