We love movies like Sisters about misfits and people who don’t fit in, so we have to make a list of similar movies. Sisters is about two grown woman called Maura and Kate Ellis. Their parents have decided to sell the family home.

Maura and Kate have been asked to clear out their childhood rooms. Maura is a clueless dork. Kate is an obnoxious big mouth who isn’t afraid to say it like it is. These sisters are the perfect pair.

Starring: Anna Kendrick, Lisa Kudrow, and Craig Robinson

Anna Kendrick knows how to make being sarcastic very funny and she does it again as Eloise, in Table 19. When Eloise gets unceremoniously dumped days before a wedding, her maid of honor duties are taken away from her.

Holding her head high, Eloise still makes an appearance at the wedding. The downside is that now that she’s single, Eloise has been placed at table 19, the dreadful singles table. This addition to Sisters movie recommendations is about what happens at the table of doom. Sadly for Eloise, the rejects are trying way too hard to be cool.

Andy is the biggest misfit of them all. This sad man is 40 years old and has never been with a woman. One night during a poker game, Andy mistakenly reveals that he’s a virgin. His friends are dumbfounded. They have to do something about it. The plan is set in motion: Help Andy get laid. The 40-Year-Old Virgin will have you smiling the whole way through and is a fantastic story found among movies like Sisters about people who don’t fit in.

Bridget Jones tries hard but everything she does leaves her in an awkward position. Nothing ever works out for her. Her job, her weight, her age and dating life are all sad and depressing. Despite being completely awkward in life, Bridget decides not to give up, and as a New Year’s Resolution, she decides to become a better woman. This year everything will work out. Luckily, Bridget has decided to keep a diary because all the upcoming life events wouldn’t be believable without it. Bridget Jones’s Diary is a perfect addition to movies like Sisters.

When you’ve been with your partner for years and live through everyday ruckus like children and cleaning, you know that dates are almost inconceivable. Phil and Claire Foster are in this exact position, they know that the only thing that can save their marriage is a night out, alone. The Date Night starts off horribly and the night only seems to get worst, until Phil decides to be spontaneous and pretend he’s someone else. This kicks off a whirlwind of events that could end with Phil and Claire losing their lives. Tina Fey and Steve Carell are graceless and gauche and the perfect actors for this addition to movies like Sisters.

Another dorky movie is Spy. Susan Cooper works for the C.I.A. she has a desk job that requires complete attention as she aids spies on their missions. When a horrible thing happens and Susan is asked to go undercover, she can’t be any happier. She’s always wanted to get a field job. Susan’s awkwardness and clumsiness aren’t usually a quality needed to be a spy but this misfit knows how to make it work. James Bond meets Mr.Bean in a dress is probably the best way to describe this laugh out loud addition to movies similar to Sisters.

Starring: Jay Baruchel, Alice Eve, and T.J. Miller

Kirk is a below average guy who works at Pittsburgh airport as a T.S.A. agent. His friends are also his co-workers. When Kirk meets a beautiful, smart, and kind woman named Molly, he falls instantly in love. Doubts start to arise in Kirk’s mind and especially from his friends, how could a 10 possibly be interested in a 5? There has to be something wrong with Molly, but the more they all get to know her, they realize she’s even cooler than she was in the beginning. She’s Out of My League is very funny and also manages to make you cringe at Kirk and his friend’s awkwardness around Molly. This flick about someone who doesn’t fit in must be added to movies like Sisters.
